Simon James Brady is an Irish poet and writer from County Cavan, now based in Dublin. His poems have appeared in journals including Dark Mountain, The Trumpeter: Journal of Ecosophy, and Burningword Literary Journal. His debut collection, Winterkeen (Five Bar Gate Press, 2026), gathers poems written between 1990 and 2026, tracing a contemplative path through the natural world, darkness, and gratitude.
Simon is also the editor and curator of irishpoetry.ie and ecopoetry.ie.
Simon goes by Seamus, the Irish form of James, in everyday life. Outside of his day job as a software developer, he tinkers with AI research and open source projects, some of which live at seamusbrady.ie.
